College Park Community Announcement

Dear residents –

As we start a new lease year, we wanted to send out some information and reminders regarding parking, security and the shuttle for our community.

/ PARKING

Parking at College Park is for permit holders only. Permit holders need to park only where their permit allows, either in the upper lot or the lower lot. Anyone who is found parking without a permit, whether they are a resident or not, will be ticketed and towed. We encourage residents and their guests to find alternative parking. Our sister property, University Place, has some spaces left in their parking garage. You can also look into private parking lots on the downtown campus.

We are currently sold out of parking for the lease year, but you can visit the leasing office and be asked to be placed on the wait list.

We have had a few residents realize they no longer need their parking pass, as their roommates also have a permit for parking, and turn theirs back in. You can choose to cancel your parking permit and turn it into the leasing office, with no penalties. This will allow us to grant permits to our wait list. Residents have an opportunity to take their car home over the Labor Day holiday weekend, but you can turn in your permit at any time.

/ SECURITY

We have made a lot of improvements to the upper lot to increase safety and security by installing cameras. Additionally, we will also be trimming the trees for accessibility purposes within the next month. Please watch your MIX student account for further information concerning dates and where to parking when this work begins.

We ask residents to please remember to lock your car door at all times and be aware of your surroundings. If you see any suspicious activity, please report it to the leasing office or the University Police at 304.293.COPS.

/ SHUTTLE

The shuttle will resume operation on Monday, August 23 with hours of operation from 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Note: the shuttle will not run from noon – 1:00 p.m.) The shuttle will pick-up/drop-off residents in front of the College Park clubhouse and will pick-up/drop off on Prospect Street, beside the Mountainlair. Morgantown, West Virginia 26505 to Morgantown, West Virginia 26505 - Google Maps

There will be no evening shuttle starting Monday.

The shuttle runs in a continuous loop, but we do encourage residents to catch the shuttle well in advance of them needing to be on-campus as the shuttle occupancy is for 14 residents.

We appreciate our residents and we’ll work to continue keep you updated on any new information regarding our community. Please contact the leasing office should you have any questions or concerns.
